GDMS Gunners win the Challenge Cup

The GDMS Gunners added the Challenge Cup to their trophy cabinet after a 3-1 Final win over 3rd Division Hooligans.

The Gunners had already wrapped up the 1st Division title with a 13-1-0 record (W-T-L) and were heavily favoured to win the final against the 3rd Division Champions, however they were made to work hard for their victory following a goal less first half.

In the 2nd half Gunners took an early 2-0 lead from Hakan Mustafa and Austin Douglas. Hooligans pushed hard to get back in the game and pulled a goal back from Jamie Jones 10 minutes from time. Hooligans continued to push but the Gunners wrapped up the game 2 minutes from time with a goal from Parham Khadem.

The Gunners were founder members of the league in 1980 and the team has played in each season of the league, however this was only their second Challenge Cup victory.
